The Clifton Suspension Bridge, spanning the beautiful Clifton Gorge, is the symbol of the city of Bristol. For almost 150 years, this Grade I listed structure has attracted visitors from all over the world. At the age of 24, this was Brunel's first major commission, and although he died prematurely in 1859, the Bridge was completed as his memorial in 1864.
Technological innovation, inspirational design and some truly revolutionary features form the history of the ss Great Britain, the world's first iron-hulled, steam-powered, ocean going ship. The ship was built in 1843 at the Great Western Dockyard in Bristol, and today you can step back in time on board this attraction that has won 13 major awards.

The Georgian House Museum:
One of the most complete eighteenth century townhouses surviving in the UK. Furnished to illustrate life both above and below stairs, rooms on four floors give a glimpse into a family household. Originally the home of the Pinney family, West India merchants.
