Harbour Works Festival

Half term is on the horizon!  No doubt parents will have all sorts planned to keep the kids occupied.  But if you’re short of inspiration for things to do, Bristol’s historic Harbourside is offering a jam packed schedule of activities guaranteed to keep the whole family entertained.   

From Thursday 28^th October to Saturday 30^th you can explore the Bristol City Docks and historic Hydraulic Pump House, or get creative with Drawing and Relief Painting at former Brooke Bond tea packing factory, Spike Island.  For maritime enthusiasts it’s a perfect opportunity to pay the SS Great Britain a visit and participate in their 40 year celebrations, with guided tours around the impressive vessel and fun and spooky storytelling on Britain’s ‘most haunted ship’.  Alternatively The Irene, a classic sailing vessel built in 1907 will be moored and available for viewing. 

Although our hotels are situated in Clifton, they’re only a short 20 minute walk from the harbour side and with our October offer still in full swing, now’s the time to get booking!
