How The Light Gets In, the philosophy and music festival at Hay on Wye, is back. From rigorous debates and incisive solo talks to film screenings, live performances, cutting-edge dj sessions and late-night parties, this year’s festival promises to be a cerebral and imaginative start to the summer season. The full programme will be available from the middle of April.

Confirmed speakers include AC Grayling, Simon Armitage, David Aaronovitch and Zygmunt Bauman. Elsewhere, sizzling chanteuse Camille O'Sullivan and musical ‘pioneers’ (Guardian) The Correspondents will be lighting up the stage.
