New Year Resolutions

New Year's Resolutions in Bristol

Christmas has been celebrated; New Year has been rung in. We’ve all eaten, drank and been merry… And now it’s time to regret it…

 

 

We at Clifton Hotels are making a whole host of New Year’s Resolution in an attempt to counteract our Yule-tide excess. We are decided, this is the year we are going to…

 

1) Spend less money: We spent our December wages before the 31st, so this month we’re being strict. No unnecessary purchases or frivolous fun. Accept of course for a couple of bargains from the January sales...

 

2) Get fit: We watched Rocky over the holidays so we’re feeling inspired. It’s time to get in shape by going for a jog, or joining one of the gyms in Bristol. But, of course, it seems silly to start the early-morning runs until the weather gets better, and we can’t join a gym until we save some money…Maybe save this one for summer…

 

 

3) Spend more time with family: Whether it be an evening at the uncle’s or an afternoon with the granny, now is the time to enjoy the company of others. I mean, it’s not like we’re sick of them after spending the holidays together…no, not at all…

 

4) Give up alcohol: Binge drinking is a major problem these days, so we’ve decided to detox and give the liver a break. Out with the cocktails and in with the freshly squeezed cucumber and avocado juice. Yum…

 

 

5) Watch less TV: This is the one resolution we can definitely keep. Why watch TV when there are so many exciting things to do around Bristol? A museum visit, a scenic walk, an outing to the theatre? Of course that’s after we’ve caught up on Corrie...
