Your Beautiful Budget Wedding
Your Guide to an Amazing Wedding Without the Price Tag.
In association with No4. Clifton Village
Many couples choose to get engaged during the Christmas holidays.
No, it’s not because there is an excess of alcohol, but because the Christmas period makes us think about those we are closest to, those who makes us feel the warmest and we feel obliged to openly love our families.
Not surprising then that this time of year also gets us wondering if we are ready to settle down and start the road to marriage.
As it always does, January arrives. Rearing its ugly head, with its long, cold days, made worse by the fact you have spent all your money over the festive season.
If this means you are looking to do your wedding on a budget, we are here to help with some useful tips that could save you loads!
Here are just a few ideas:
Shorten the wedding timeline
Many couples choose to wait a year to get married in order to save up money.
However, you may find that it could be cheaper if you book closer to the date.
Suppliers are much more likely to discount their rates if the money is in their pockets faster.
Have an off-peak wedding
Instead of a Saturday, in the middle of summer, why not opt for a weekday, or even a Sunday to save money.
The best times to grab a bargain are before big annual holidays, Christmas, Easter etc.
There are some amazing fledgling wedding companies out there.
Usually they will be a fraction of the cost of other suppliers as they are just starting out.
Many of these companies have trained professionals and are reliable but haven’t yet broken into the market. Try looking at further pages on Google search to pick out the gems!
Tip- Always make sure they can prove their work via a portfolio etc.
Get your friends to help
Instead of hiring a DJ, create a playlist of music you and your partner love.
Then get your guests to RSVP with a song of their choice and build the ultimate playlist.
Get your venue to help
Once you have chosen your venue, ask them to help recommend the rest of your wedding suppliers ensemble.
Many venues have ‘recommended suppliers’ list and many of them will be willing to do the venue a favour by offering you a discount.
With all this in mind, it ,might be time to remind you that our very own venue, No. 4, Clifton is having a wedding fair on the 2nd February.
All the benefits of having a city centre location with the luxury of a beautiful historic village.
Over the years, No. 4 has hand picked the very best suppliers in and around Bristol and is holding this free event to showcase their talents on Sunday 2nd February.
Get down there and check out the local talent!
