Your Guide to Bristol in April

The time is flying! Look at us, already in April.

There are lots of things to look forward to this month – thanks to daylight savings we get to play in the sun for an hour longer (huzzah!), it’s half term for all you lucky little ones out there and there are plenty of exciting things happening in our wonderful City.

I’ve picked 4 great things for you to enjoy this month.

Yurt Lush

The brains behind ‘Eat Drink Bristol Fashion' set up camp last year by Temple Meads station. Now believe me when I say that, A Mongolian Yurt + local food + great drinks = a bloody a good time. Pop on down for brunch, lunch or a roast dinner! And of course, don’t forget, every Thursday is ‘Steak Night’ - Chew Valley Steak with all the trimmings and a glass of wine for £12.50? Yes please!

Local Theatre

We all know and love the bigger theatres in Bristol but there are also loads of amazing local theatre and arts shows happening in Bristol's smaller, more intimate venues. The Wardrobe Theatre above the White Bear pub on St Michael's Hill has a great range of works happening in April so branch out and go see some local theatre! You can book tickets online or (as the folk at the Wardrobe say) be a bit wild and ‘risk it, turn up and get your tickets on the door’.

Walks in Bristol

The sun is shining (sort of) so get your backpacks out and head off on an adventure around our City. You’d be surprised how much of Bristol you haven’t seen and there are so many stunning spots that really shouldn’t be missed. There are so many great walks to do, a few favourites being; a stroll down by the harbour, (and stopping off for a cheeky pint at The Cottage) or having a long peaceful wander around Ashton Court Estate and Leigh Woods.

Clifton Wine Cellar

There’s nothing like sitting out in the sun drinking a glass of wine and low and behold the time for this is nearly upon us. Our friends at Clifton Wine Cellars have some great events going on and offer a brilliant wine course. They can also arrange a wine tasting session with lots of wine and cheeses for a bargain price of £15 per head! I really recommend paying these lovely folk a visit.
