Your guide to Bristol in June

I can’t believe its June already, the time is really flying.

It is an exciting time in Bristol, with festival season really kicking off. With a different festival/event taking place pretty much every weekend for the next few months, Bristol really is the place to be.

The Festival of Football Ideas

Now this is probably one of the most unique festival concepts I’ve come across. They’ve rounded up a great selection of artists who also just happen to be football fans. Brett Atkinson the festival... says:

‘We've rounded up football fans from across the country whose love of, or interest in, football, manifests itself in their individual creativity; from printmakers to DJs, academics to authors. We wanted to organise an event that would showcase those people and projects that have succeeded in bringing their two loves together.’

Let’s Rock Bristol

Back again this year and taking over Ashton Court Estate is Let’s Rock Bristol. You’ve got a full weekend of complete 80’s madness with a great music line up, a bit of glamping and a super funfair. Don’t miss out. Boney M and Bananarama? Go on!

Live Music

Our friends over at St George's have got an amazing selection of live music lined up for June. If you attended this year's Bristol Folk Festival you'll know how incredible this venue is. But if you’ve not been to a show at St George’s yet you really need to get on board. It’s a stunning venue with the most amazing acoustics. I personally recommend going to see ‘People of Note Community Choir’ – An evening of acapella in this beautiful venue.

Park on Park Street

If you went to the last ‘Make Sunday’s Special’ you’ll remember what a treat this was for us. Closing the streets and returning Sunday 1st June you've got the team at ’Park Street Events’ creating their ‘Park on Park Street.’ Think artificial grass, picnics in the street, teas & coffees, music, family fun (the list really does go on). 11am – 10pm and you’d be silly not to join in.

Our four hotels are so close to all of these events and venues. Come and stay with us this month!
