The Clifton Suspension Bridge, spanning the beautiful Clifton Gorge, is the symbol of the city of Bristol. For almost 150 years, this Grade I listed structure has attracted visitors from all over the world. At the age of 24, this was Brunel's first major commission, and although he died prematurely in 1859, the Bridge was completed as his memorial in 1864.

SS Great Britain:
In 1843, when this historic ship first set sail from Bristol's Great Western Dockyard, Brunel's creation was regarded as technologically advanced and entirely ground-breaking. A visit to this impressive vessel, which has won 13 major awards and receives thousands of visitors every year, will leave you feeling inspired.
City Museum and Art Gallery:
This houses outstanding collections of art, archaeology, geology and natural history. The world-renowned Banksy exhibited his largest ever collection of iconoclastic works. Events for 2011 include Wildlife Photographer of the Year and an exhibition from Beryl Cook and her 'Larger than Life' collection.
