Clifton  Down

This green open space is ideal for those wanting some peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of city life.  With views stretching out over the Gorge and Suspension Bridge, as well as picnics and kite flying a-plenty in the summer months, it's a beautiful part of Bristol to see.

The Watershed:
Here you will find a lively programme of independent and foreign films and events such as script writing sessions and workshops in digital media.

Colston Hall:
The City's largest concert hall. Presents touring opera and dance companies and some of the biggest names in pop.  Acts in 2010 included Pixie Lott, Editors, Belle and Sebastian and McFly.

St Georges:
Famed for its acoustics, this venue is nationally known for its excellence and diversity in jazz, classical, folk, world music and opera.

Days Out:

Cheddar Gorge & Caves have plenty to see and do, both above and below ground. The cathedral-like caves and Britain's biggest gorge are million year old ice-age river beds. This area of outstanding natural beauty is also where you can spend an afternoon sampling some of the tastiest Cheddar cheeses!

Pirate Walks:

Few people have the historic knowledge of Pete the Pirate. So why not enjoy his renowned entertaining and informative tours. From Blackbeard's home to the smugglers' cave and the Matthew Shipyard, Pete the Pirate provides a fun look at Pirates and their adventures in Bristol.

Performing Arts

Live music, theatre, dance and comedy are always on offer in Bristol.  The world famous Old Vic host an array of theatrical productions at The Theatre Royal, as does The Tobacco Factory in Bedminster.  The home-grown music scene has produced world class bands and artists such as Massive Attack, Portishead and Tricky. From classical or rock concerts at the Colston Hall, to ballet, opera and musicals at the Hippodrome, or jazz, folk and comedy at a variety of pubs and clubs, the range is huge.
